Heating pumps
A heat pump is a heating device that moves heat from one place to another, usually from the surrounding environment to indoor spaces.
Types:
- Air-to-air heat pumps: Use heat absorbed from the air to heat or cool indoor spaces.
- Air-to-water heat pumps: Take heat from the air and transfer it to heating water, which can be used to heat underfloor heating or radiators.
- Ground source heat pumps: Use the heat in the ground using horizontal or vertical collectors. They are effective because the ground temperature is more stable than the air temperature.
